How to install Elastix pbx

Elastix is an Open Source  Asterisk based Software to establish Unified Communications. Supports most of the features offered by Expensive IP telephony Application Vendors.
Download the ISO from Elastix website.


Burn the CD from ISO and you are ready to go .
Its better to install Elastix in text mode Follow the you will be ready to go .

Boot  your system from CD. on boot menu type linux text

 Choose your Language

 Choose your Keyboard

 Choose Yes for warning earasing your hard disk It will erase your entire hard disk for Elastix recommended format

 Choose the Hard disk where you want to install.

 No need to review partition layout if you know the linux well then you can review the partition table and configure according too your requirement.

 Choose Yes to configure the Network Card

  Choose activate on boot and IPV4

 Always Choose Manual Address configuration and give IP address.

 Give the Default gateway and DNS address

 Give the Host name Manually

 Choose your Time Zone

 Give the  Root Password

 Now it will check the dependency and start the setup

 After installing all required application it will reboot

 after reboot setup will again start and ask for MySql root password

 confirm the root password

 It will ask for FreePBX ,Elastix weblogin VTiger A2Billing FOP password to choose

 Confirm the password

 Now you will get the login prompt

 Login with root and password you gave while installation for root

 Go to browser and put the URL for your Elastix Server. http://ip address of your server. click on proceed anyway

 Login with admin and password which you gave while installation.

 Now you are in and ready for your further configuration
